empty eyes
In the series Vanitas "Full Heads, Empty Eyes" (2015-2018), Laura M. Mattos uses painting with an interest in representing female stereotypes through her clothing. There is an interest in the relationship of imitation and eccentricity of fashion behavior. In the head, the collages of symbols of femininity carefully cut to signify temporality and material acquisitions. The accessory sunglasses, veil the look and the lenses reflect an external that has already been there. Painting and collage invite the viewer to contemplate.
